I know it has been way too long since I have posted a blog entry! Just busy with life and always trying to figure everything out. I want to be a person who has it all together when I grow up! LOL.
This past weekend had me turning the big 40. I had a nice day with Hubs and the Stepdaughter. We went to breakfast at Cracker Barrel, had crabs at lunchtime, and then went to The Melting Pot for dinner. After all of that I felt like I would not eat for a week!
Hubs bought me a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Tablet, and the Stepdaughter bought me a stylus that is also a pen, and a nice case with a bluetooth keyboard for the tablet. Wonderful gifts! I am definitely a gadget person.
I did attend a stitching retreat at Salty Yarns in Ocean City at the beginning of May. I had never stayed at the Lankford and I loved it! Lots of talking and stitching and it went by way too fast.
I seem to have developed ADD when it came to stitching lately. I have started and stopped many, many projects it seems, but I have settled on counted canvas work again. I am working on two small projects from Needle Delights Originals. First up is Turple. I am missing two threads, so that is why I started another one.
Then there is Chaqua, which I started this past Saturday night at The Stitching Post's Stitch Night.
I have a dream of stitching these and hanging them on a big blank wall I have in my house. So far she has designed 37 different ones! So, best get to it! LOL. And I have been researching how to frame my own needlepoint projects. I will figure this out if it's the last thing I do!
I also pre-ordered Needle Delights Originals newest pattern coming out May 21 called Colorwaves.
And I also signed up for her newest online class through The Shining Needle Society, Sudoku Delight, although I chose a different colorway than is shown in this picture. Mine is pinks and purples.
Until next time...

ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday Danielle :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize we were that close in age. You have it together, don't beat yourself up. That is a lesson that is hard to learn, but it makes a whole world of difference what you get it :)
