New Start!

I made a trip to The Stitching Post yesterday in Catonsville to find some smaller projects to work on and to take this Friday to the stitching retreat at Salty Yarns in Ocean City!  I purchased two projects.

Here is my small start on the first one, Plum Street Samplers A Friend Loveth, stitched on Heaven Lee Creations 32 count Jobelan in Daydream.  I substituted DMC 754 for the called-for skin color in the pattern, as it did not seem very skin-like when I stitched it.

I also purchased Country Cottage Needleworks Welcome Home and will be stitching this one on Hand Dyed Fabrics By Stephanie 32 count Jobelan in April Showers.

 Until next time...

Random Tidbits:

1.  I have become addicted to the show House on Netflix.  They recently put all of the episodes on their site and I have been watching one after the other after the other, as I had not seen a one of them when it was on the air.

2.  I have also become addicted to playing the game Bingo Blitz on Facebook.  And I thought Candy Crush Saga was high on the addiction factor.  Bingo Blitz blows that out of the water!!  LOL.

  3. Very nice choices. Kind of funny that you had to make trip to a stitching store before you could go to a stitching store!

I've seen all the House episodes and many multiple times on re-runs. One of my all-time favorite shows with such a complex main character.

    Have fun in OC.

  4. Danielle,
Thanks so much for commenting on my blog. I hadn't seen your blog before and love to add others to my list. I've been to The Stitching Post twice. One year I even attended their retreat. Hope you had a great time in Ocean City!

  6. Oh I love the Stitching Post. I've been to many other stitching shops, but none really compare. I'm going to have to make a special roadtrip.
