Green

You know, I seem to have the hardest time coming up with titles for blog posts.  Does anyone else have this problem?  I may just start picking a random word and having THAT be the title!  LOL.

I made good progress this weekend on Faerie Summer Love!

And I came to a realization about Red.  I received everything over the weekend and as I was winding the thread on bobbins I realized I had no desire whatsoever to start this one over again.  Zip.  Zilch.  Nada.  Instead of being upset about the money I spent I just said, okay, lesson learned.  And after working on 32 count Jobelan and liking it, when I looked at the 40 count Newcastle linen I thought no way in hell.  LOL.

And I have loved working on Faerie Summer Love so much the past few weeks that I am already looking forward to stitching another Nora Corbett pixie, but which one I have no idea.  I am thinking either Buttercup, Faerie Spring Fling, or the new one, Azalea.

I have some hand-dyed Jobelan coming from Hand Dyed Fabrics by Stephanie, and I just learned last week that Heaven Lee Creations is back in business!!  Out of every hand-dyed fabric I have ever bought or stitched on, theirs were my favorite.  I am not a fan of the highly-mottled fabrics, and HLC's hand-dyed fabrics have the most beautiful blended colors.  They just seem to meld into one another.  The owner is still getting everything off the ground, but hopes to restart their Fabric of the Month Club up soon.

I also revamped my organization for my current project.  I moved everything back to my purple pencil box I received at the stitching retreat in Laurel last year.  You can see everything fits inside the box and I taped the pattern key to the inside lid and the pic of the finished project to the outside lid.

But I had a thought of wanting a project bag that would just slip over my stretcher bars, because all I need to cart around is the stretcher bars and the pencil box.  So, after perusing the Internet for a bit I remembered that Faye from Carolina Stitcher made project bags, and I ordered one from her today.  They are beautiful, and I can't wait to receive it!

Until next time...

  1. Great progress on Faeries Summer Love. Sorry to hear about Red, are you going to keep stitching her on the 32ct?

  3. Totally agree about the hand-dyed fabrics. I do not like mottled colors either.
