Progress...and some new needle magnets!

Here is my small start on Nora Corbett's Faerie Autumn Glow.  I switched the fabric from my last post to Picture This Plus Crystal Relic, 28 count Cashel.  The original fabric I had chosen was really pretty, but aida, and I did not like stitching on it.  Another lesson learned! 

And I purchased these Sock Monkey needle magnets recently.  So cute!  But one small issue, they came with no backs!  So, I went on eBay and bought a bunch of earth magnets to use as backs.  In my opinion, if something is touted as a needle magnet, it needs to have a front AND a back!  Just saying. 

And yesterday I joined Silkweaver's Fabric of the Month club, three pieces of 13 by 18 opalescent 28 count Cashel, and Polstitches Fabric of the Month, one piece of 18 by 27 opalescent 28 count Cashel.  The Polstitches fabric is from the UK, so a bit pricier, but what beautiful fabrics!!  I will be sure to post pics when I receive my shipments!
