Woodlawn!

Saturday I met Jill in Alexandria, Virginia at Woodlawn and we had lunch at the cafe and walked through and saw all of the beautiful needlework, and then did some shopping at In Stitches, which is right up the street from the mansion.  I had nothing to enter this year, but I told Jill as we were walking around that next year "You're going to see my shit all up in here!"  Yes, I have a potty mouth, but try to keep it out of this blog, and I am proper in public.  Well, most of the time!!!  LOL.

The only thing I purchased from the Nashville market was the Kaleidoscope Q-snap holders for both the 11 inch and 8 inch Q-snap.  You can see them here on my progress on CCN's Be Mine.  I was able to stitch some more this weekend on it.

I finished River Road by Carol Goodman.  It was okay.  I am looking for a new book to start now.

Like a lot of women I have fought my weight for all of my adult life.  I have been thin and not so thin.  I looked in my closet the other day and said enough is enough.  For months now I have been squeezing myself into clothes that I may never truly fit in again.  So I did a major cleanout and am going this weekend to get some new clothes, that actually fit!  I have finally realized that I may never lose the 40 or 50 pounds that I would like to lose, that the weight I am now may be the weight I remain at.  So it's time to start accepting it.  And getting off the crazy train of dieting and saying I can't have this and that, and oh, no, not ANY of that!

Here's wishing YOU peace with your body, whatever shape and size it is.

Until next time...

  2. I missed Woodlawn a few years ago by a couple of days. A missed opportunity I still regret. Love the Q-snaps and your project looks great! Have fun shopping for a new wardrobe!

  4. How much fun are those Qsnap clamps?!! Be mine looks lovely! And life is too short to say no to good food. I know dieting is not for me but I am trying to practice moderation and so far so good. :)
