Autumn Logs continues...and nail art!

I love to do anything new and easy to my nails.  I found this video.  I am going to try this!  I bought the metallic Sharpies today!

I have been loving doing some adult coloring!  I found these free bookmarks and printed them out on matte photo paper I had.  I used colored pencils to color these in.

I did a bunch of research on different types of books and what is the best medium to use, colored pencil, gel pen, marker, et cetera.  I have come to the conclusion that you need to have a mixed medium set.  I have purchased a set of Staedler Triplus pens, a set of Prismacolor colored pencil and gel pens.  Now, I did not know that finding a large set of gel pens was going to be ridiculous.  How does Michaels and Office Depot NOT have a large set of gel pens?  But they did not.  So, I found a set of 100 gel pens at Costco with their own stand to hold the pens for $19.99!!!

I was able to order The Secret Garden coloring book by Johanna Basford.  I have heard many great things about this one and Michaels had it, but with my eBay Bucks I have accumulated I was able to get the book for only 60 cents!!!  This book has become so popular that there are boards dedicated on Pinterest for people to upload their finished pages.  She also has an Enchanted Forest and Lost Ocean coloring book that I have put on my Christmas Wish List.

I have been working steadily along on Autumn Logs.

  Until next time...

  1. I have Secret Garden as well. But I haven't colored it yet, I want to use it as embroidery templates (one day). I'm waiting for Lost Ocean to get Enchanted Forest. I've been wondering if I should get a second copy to color.
