...since I updated this blog! Yikes, since October 14 of last year!!! So, a bunch of snippets about what has been happening.
* I have been all over the place with stitching and have started a bunch, but not finished anything.
* I have been working on Country Cottage Needleworks Be Mine on a Polstitches fabric, although I don't know what color. I started using Thread Heaven on the floss before stitching with it and I have noticed a difference in how the thread lays, in a good way.
* I bought a new iPad for work.
*I bought a new car, a Ford Mustang, in Deep Impact Blue.
*I received back from the fantastically talented Jill Rensel my Nora Corbett Wisteria pixie.
*I set a challenge for myself to read 50 books this year. So far this year I have read 9! And here is the list:
The Memory Box by Eva Lesko Natiello
You by Caroline Kepnes
The Cinderella Murder by Mary Higgins Clark
Disclaimer by Renee Knight
Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas
The Fever by Megan Abbott
The Ex by Alafair Burke
Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes
The Widow by Fiona Barton
And I am currently reading River Road by Carol Goodman.
*I am very much looking forward to purchasing the Kaleidoscope Q-snap clamps that were just released at Nashville! I am heading to visit the Woodlawn exhibit this Saturday with my dear friend, Jill. I look forward to this time every year.
*I still am watching all of my favorite TV shows, Girls, Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, How To Get Away With Murder. I am looking forward to Orange Is The New Black coming back in June, plus Wentworth in April, and Game of Thrones in April. So sad that Downton Abbey is over! And this is the last season for The Good Wife. I also started watching that new show The Family. Way creepy. And last weekend I finished the newest season of House of Cards on Netflix. Oh, and Bates Motel just came back on too. Wow. I watch A LOT of TV!! LOL.
I think that is enough for now. Until later...but hopefully not six months later!!
So good to hear from you! That car!! Lucky you :) And your Wisteria Pixie is perfection!! I hope you are back sooner than 6 months too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful car! Don't get a ticket! Your fairy turned out so beautifully; I'll bet you were anxious to hang her on your wall. Waiting to binge House of Cards!
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching and you have my dream car! I love blue mustangs! I have the same kind of iPad cover as you just a different design lol.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I love your stitching and I hope to see more in the near future. Sunny greetings from New Orleans, Alice
ReplyDeletePixie looks amaxing, a beautiful mat adorns it.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have been busy.
Wow! Such an exciting and event-filled time in your life! That blue Mustang is absolutely gorgeous. Try not to drive too fast in it, it is definitely an attention getter! I am sure that after your shows are over you will have a blast driving that thing down the road.
